Gadget Wishlist Dreamin'

A sort of continuation of yesterdays wishlist....

My parents must have been really good this year because they somehow got thee coolest gifts! I love gadgets but I know deep down, I really don't need them, but yearning is free, right?

For Dad:

Nook Color

Lucky! I have saw my co-workers enjoying their Nooks in the break room. Everyone seems to have nothing but nice comments about them. First it was teaching my dad how to use an MP3 player and a cell phone. Now this.. we're really up on the times for once it feels like! Learning to use a Nook should be fun!
For Mom:

Nikon D3000

Okay, so maybe I'm not being completely honest. The camera.. my mom and I decided to go half on it. So I actually have partial custody of that baby! I'm pretty excited. I haven't saw it yet so it hasn't hit me yet that it's real. I am so in love with my Nikon. I think it will be great for both of our passions and I hope having more equipment can spark off my tiny photo career a bit more!

Other gadgets:

The iPad. Isn't this on everybody's wishlist this season? Probably so. I know it's absolutely unnecessary. I have a perfectly fine laptop and a fancy iPhone that are capable of so much. I just can't help the want for a new, shiny electronic toy.

At this point, I'm kind of just dreaming of owning a Macbook. I don't even care if it's the old version. I guess I never really understood what all the hype about Apple was until I got an iPhone. I've fallen pretty hard. I think it would be a great notebook to get all my photography organized and to seriously begin to teach myself photoshop. Yeah, a little bit outrageous, but sometimes I do feel as though I need a whole other laptop just for my own junk and without the dangers of all the other junk crashing it.

One more...

I know, I don't need another camera. Probably like.. ever, in my lifetime. Nikon recently came out with these compact little cameras with interchangeable lens. I'd have to try it out to see the quality of pictures it takes but I think it's pretty fascinating how small the can make technology these days. I guess I just imagine myself getting past all the jerk security staff at venues with this little bugger. My monstrous Nikon doesn't stand a chance. Plus, those colors.. the cuteness is killing me!

2011 Christmas Wishlist Dreamin'

I'm all done with my online purchases for this Holiday Season. I had that taken care of for a while now. However, I still wanted to make some sort of wishlist to share on my blog. I thought it would be kind of boring to post things that I know I ordered online so instead, I made a little wishlist of some other things absolutely adore but somehow didn't make the cut or budget. Dreamy wishlists are so much better than realistic ones.

Guess there is always next year for these goodies, huh? Plus, Birthdays and other holidays and splurges inbetween. ;) Wishlists are so fun to put together.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a fun little post I made about all kinda' new gadgets I'm drooling over, but absolutely don't need! More dreaming...

Holiday Flu

I've been really slacking. I'm not going to make excuses. I've honestly just been really under the weather. I've been putting off going to see the doctor for a couple days now, but by this nasty cough and painful sore throat I got goin' on, tomorrow is looking like a good day to go. On top of this, I've been doing some photography work for a couple co-workers (a few pictured above). I just finally sat down to touch up some of the pictures and I hope to print them soon. This stuff really keeps ya' busy. Also, of course, I had some last minute Christmas shopping that needed taken care of. Not to mention, I'm getting a little stressed out, nervous, excited, anxious for the New Jersey road trip that will be happening in less than two weeks! 'Throw in a little car troubles and lots of cough syrup and early bed times.. yeah. This has been my world lately. However, I do still have some neat posts I started working on that I want to share in the next couple days. They include some cute internet findings that will remain on my Christmas wishlist till next year or umm, maybe forever. Ha.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Thursday. Have I mentioned lately how much my job is like a circus? Or the zoo? I'm not sure which! It's crazy and exhausting and I never know what to expect. Or maybe I do, but it's just really depressing and frustrating. I just try my hardest not to let it upset me or effect me too much, but I'd be a liar if I said it didn't, obviously. I just gotta' keep my patience and I gotta' stay positive for not only the kids, but my co-workers who are feeling like they are losing their minds, too!

Enough venting and pep talks to myself! It's bedtime for me!

Icky: Then & Now

~Then~

~Now~

The first photo is a picture of Icky the day we brought him home from the pet store. He was so tiny. I guess you can't tell but that is just a small cardboard box that we transported him home in. The second photo is him a little over a year old. That box is a whole lot bigger! He has grown to be so very handsome. It's crazy how time flies and things change. I can't imagine life without these little furry creatures. :)

20 Days Till Asbury Park, New Jersey

I just learned this week that Leftover Crack is playing the final day of the Home for the Holidays shows. Leftover Crack and The Bouncing Souls.. I couldn't be happier. They were suppose to play together last year before that snowpocalypse happened!
