Sunday Food

I'm not going to lie, Sundays are all about food. This Sunday, Corpse literally threw together something for her and I. This is by no means a healthy meal, but it certainly was delicious. It consisted of a lot of noodles, butter, crab meat, cheese, and seasoning. Plus, a pulled pork sandwich on the side. Oh, and that Oreo dessert. Uhhh, am I really too lazy to dunk them? Maybe. Who would come up with something like that? Ha ha. Totally ridiculous but pure genius. Perfectly fitting for a self-indulgent Sunday.

Unwind

Yesterday was a typically wonderful lazy Sunday in Brownsville with my family. Sundays are the perfect relaxing day to end a fun weekend and muster the energy to do it all over again. It was super nice to just lay in the cool grass in the sun. I had forgot how much I missed having a yard. That is one aspect that city life can't even begin to compare with.

I'm looking forward to this being a quick week. I called off work tomorrow already. Corpsey and I are going to head to Pittsburgh later in the evening to see Primus and Gogol Bordello. So, I figured I'd just take the whole day off. Well deserved, if I do say so myself.

I still haven't came to terms with the fact that I'm not only off tomorrow, but off all of next week. I get so easily stuck in routines. I'm looking forward to the change of pace, though. It will definitely feel so good to just have all that time to unwind from the usual grind.

Chicken Noodle Soup Weather

It's a chilly, rainy night. It is definitely fall weather. Reminds me of getting all muddy at spook houses. I'm content home with Michael, keeping warm and cuddly under a blanket on the couch. As much as sleeping in to the sound of rain sounds like a perfect way to start the day tomorrow, I'm really hoping that the rain decides to go elsewhere and everything dries up for our Halloween party. It's not looking good. It seems like it's been gloomy out for days. I'll still sleep with my fingers crossed...

Ick was using my silly bear hat as a cozy little sleeping bag. So cute!

Stay warm.

Ick turns one!

Ichabod turns one year old today!

We are celebrating Ichabod's first Birthday over here today! Yesterday, I made cupcakes at my parents house. I was told that his favorite color is gray so I whipped up some homemade icing. It's deadly sweet. I don't think Ick will be able to have any part of it, unfortunately. He will be showered with lots of belly rubs and yogies, though, I'm sure! I grilled up some hot dogs on our little George Foreman. It's lookin' like a party over here. Corpsey is on her way over here as I type this with Hans and Dolby. There will be the pitter padder of five ferrets little paws shortly. That makes me feel so happy. We're so thankful to have such an adorable, sweet ferret as Ichabod. It's been such a fun year and we're looking forward to many, many more. You're growing up so big and handsome, Icky. You're so very loved, Icky!

Brunch

Michael and I went out to the Rt. 40 Classic Diner for brunch earlier today. Brunch is, by far, my favorite meal of the day and a chocolate milkshake is just appropriate at any point of the day.

Kelsey and Will are stopping over shortly on their way to visit family. I enjoy having company and I'm glad they continue to come over.

Still contemplating names for our little baby girl ferret. I am just stumped. Nothing sounds just right. I want to it be sort of cute and sweet sounding, since she is my only girl, but not overly so. Something short and simple to say like her brothers, Ick and Lux.

Oh, guess what? Ick's birthday is on Monday. I got the giant number one candle. Now I just need to bake something. I can't believe he's a year old. So cute!

Happy weekend, guys.

Dinner

Feeling pretty tired. It's been a long week of social service work and and ferret sitting.
Here's a couple photos from dinner I got with Kelsey and David the other night.

So glad it's the weekend. Stay positive.
