A room with a view. Asbury Park, New Jersey.

I booked our room at Berkley Oceanfront Hotel just like I did every year but somehow, whenever they handed over our keys to the room, we were delighted to find that the room they chose to give us has the loveliest view you could ever imagine. I usually opt to go for whatever room is the cheapest, but boy, we lucked out this time. When you cracked open the window, all you can hear is the sweet sounds of the waves rolling in. The sounds and sight were truly the most beautiful thing to wake up to every morning and fall asleep to every night. I'm sure the pictures don't quite do justice but they're gorgeous nonetheless.

Hans and Lux's Birthday Party; Ice cream cake

I know Lux loves ice cream. Anytime he can get a taste of something chocolate or sweet.. he can't get enough. So for his Birthday, I knew he would enjoy an ice cream cake. Don't worry, they didn't eat very much. Just a couple licks between all the ferrets the next morning! We bought cute little candles with their names and big numbers for how old they were turning. We even added some regular candles for Michael, for his Birthday, and he helped Lux and Hans 'blow out' all the candles for a couple of pictures. Yeah, we had kind of a waxy mess. It is surprising that the cake didn't melt a lot more! It was worth it for these cute shots, though. :) And mmmm.. really yummy, too!
